Technology allows us to draw instant inspiration from many places at once without physically being there. The ability to distinguish between preconceived ideas and reality is one of the benefits gained when transplanting one to foreign places. This talk explores influences on creative output as a result of tangibly being in unique environments, including political ones, once hidden behind iron curtains in past eras. Drawing from the speaker's own experience, this presentation puts out a call for adventure to dream up how your work could be influenced, would you quit your possibly settled life and leave your own creative comfort zone.
