St. Petersburg is the second biggest city in Russia. It is a town rich in historic, architectural, and cultural resources, a “Cultural Capital”, an “Open-Air Museum”, labelled “Venice of the North” or “The Gate to Russia”, and these are only some aspects of its urban image. Are the wealth in resources and reputation a boon for the city’s brand? Svetlana Landl will present a transdisciplinary project dealing with the urban identity and the branding of St. Petersburg.
