realities:united

The brothers Jan & Tim Edler work on the borderline of art and architecture. In 2000 they founded their studio »realities:united« in Berlin. All their projects deal with issues of space, information, message and communication. Their creative achievements have been prized with a number of architecture and design awards, among others the »Kunstpreis Berlin 2009, Förderungspreis Baukunst« (Art Prize Berlin, an award in the category architecture) by the Academy of the Arts Berlin, and have been shown at numerous international exhibitions including the Venice Biannual for Architecture, the Vitra Design Museum, the new Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, and the Swiss Architecture Museum. Aside from their project-related work both of them have taught at various institutions such as the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau, the Technische Universität Berlin or the Pasadena Art Center College in Los Angeles. Till 2008 Tim Edler held a visiting professorship at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen.
