The talk will be an overview of the possibilities and history and future course of the FontTools Python library and its TTX tool companion. FontTools/TTX is an indispensable tool for anyone who needs to deal with the finer details of TrueType and OpenType fonts, or who needs to create or process fonts in ways that go beyond font editor capabilities.
